CityBits is a proof-of-concept urban planning tool designed to support sustainable, intelligent urban development in the City of Riyadh. The vision is a scalable, multi-city decision intelligence platform that enables planners and architects to model alternative urban growth scenarios, prioritize areas for urban intervention, and evaluate the potential impacts of those interventions across multiple dimensions of city performance.Developed in close collaboration with the AtkinsRéalis team, CityBits supports rapid scenario creation and comparison through interactive visualization and benchmarking. The current prototype focuses on the city of Riyadh and includes an initial suite of quality-of-life indicators—spanning accessibility to services and transit, land-use diversity, and green space—providing a practical foundation for evidence-based optioneering and informed decision-making.
