Our team conducted a series of parametric studies and environmental analyses to help the FLAD Architects' Design Team generate and evaluate various massing scenarios for a phased development of 3 office buildings located in San Diego/California. The goal was to improve upon some initial sketches developed by the architects and optimize the massing based on key performance objectives outlined by the client.  These objectives included meeting program requirements, preserving unobstructed ocean views and minimizing the potential for wind tunnel effects between buildings.

Through careful design analysis, we were able to successfully generate different massing scenarios that met the design criteria, ensuring a balance between aesthetic, environmental, and functional considerations.
